Haygood Elementary School (On-Site)
Now open in Cross Creek West, Haygood Elementary brings exceptional education right to the heart of the community in Fulshear, TX, and is proudly part of Lamar CISD. As the on-site elementary school, Haygood offers families the convenience of close-to-home learning paired with a strong academic foundation. Designed to support young learners in a nurturing and engaging environment, the campus reflects the district’s commitment to growth, innovation, and student success. With its doors officially open, Haygood Elementary marks an exciting chapter for Cross Creek West—where community and education come together from the very start.
Roberts Middle School
Roberts Middle School is a sixth grade-only campus focused on the needs of pre-adolescents to provide a smooth transition to secondary schools. Roberts opened in 2019 and seeks to address the unique physical and emotional needs of pre-adolescents so they can succeed in junior high, high school and beyond. Students benefit from a strong curriculum, smaller class sizes, music, art and athletic programs.
Dean Leaman Jr. High
Leaman Junior High students charge into academics, the arts and athletics confident of their success. Niche ranked the school among the top 15 percent out of 2,223 middle schools in Texas. Teachers hold students to high academic standards while encouraging them to express themselves in the fine and performing arts. Students also can participate in honors and pre-Advanced Placement classes. Opportunities to participate in extracurriculars such as journalism, choir, athletics and more ensure students are well-rounded.
Fulshear High School
Boasting a wide-ranging curriculum, exceptional music program and opportunities to pursue their interests, Fulshear High prepares students to meet the moment. The excellent academic program includes honors, Pre-AP and AP classes. The AP participation rate is 60 percent. The Charger Band is known for excellence, receiving a superior rating in 2020 and the varsity concert band taking home a sweepstakes award in 2021. Student athletes have their choice of 13 sports to choose from, including volleyball, football, basketball, cheer, soccer and more. Students also can participate in more than 30 clubs and organizations.
We’re proud to say Lamar CISD is one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas. Clearly, it’s no longer a secret that Lamar CISD is a destination district for any family. Lamar CISD puts its students first, and Cross Creek West scholars zoned to the district attend new, state-of-the- art schools focused on preparing students for the 21st century.
In addition, Lamar CISD purchased 100 acres in Cross Creek West for two new campuses. This new complex is scheduled to open in August 2027.
Debbie Urbanski Junior High (On-Site)
Opening in 2027, Debbie Urbanski Junior High School will be a key addition to Cross Creek West in Fulshear, TX, zoned to the highly regarded Lamar CISD. Named after a dedicated educator with a 38-year legacy, the campus honors Debbie Urbanski’s lasting impact on students, staff, and schools across the district. Located at the intersection of FM 359 and Tiger Run Boulevard, just across from the future Troy Williams High School, this on-site campus brings added convenience for families and enhances everyday life in the community. A meaningful step forward, this new school reflects the continued growth and bright future of Cross Creek West.
